Hawthorn Lodge Restaurant
The Lazy Tea rooms at Hawthorn Lodge are open from 11 am for lunch and our popular Devonshire Cream and High Teas.
Our high tea is very popular. We serve a country style High Tea using home grown or local ingredients. We offer country style friendly service in a beautiful location all at great country value at just $20. High tea is served on the veranda overlooking the garden or by the fire in our cosy tea room. It is essential to book as we are often fully booked for high tea. Please book at least 24 hours before and do feel free to do by email email@example.com.
Devonshire Cream Tea
Marie offers at the Lazy Tea rooms the best cream tea is Tasmania. Made with award winning scones in the farm kitchen, served with our own raspberry jam and Tasmanian clotted cream. All served on fine china with real tea in a tea pot. Teas are served on the veranda or in the cosy tea rooms. You are most welcome to walk around the gardens with some fine trees including the oldest Magnolia in Australia.
We do not offer lunch and instead a mini high tea. The mini high tea has a choice of sandwiches, toastie or sausage rolls with a scone served with clotted cream and our raspberry jam.
Dinner is only available at the Hawthorn Lodge restaurant to residents and makes full use of local produce, much of which we produce ourselves. Dinner is served at 6.30pm. We currently offer light meals only at dinner time with each costing $10 from Sunday to Thursday.
