We transfer you from Hobart Airport, stay the night with us and the next morning we take a scenic drive to the start at Cradle Mountain. Six days later (duration is adjustable) we meet you at Lake St Clair and then a short drive to a very comfortable night and dinner. The next morning back to Hobart.
Maydena Bike Park is on our doorstep and will soon be the world’s biggest mountain bike park with new trails opening all the time. Trails for all levels, a mountain bike school, mountain bike hire and uplift service combined with restaurants at the top and bottom make for a perfect mountain bike holiday.
We offer a transfer in the morning and evening and to and from Hobart Airport. We have all you need for your mountain bike with safe storage, tools and washing facilities.
Marie the founder of Lazy Runner organises regular running weekends where you do 5 runs over two days. Runs take you into the Tasmania Wilderness, along the coast and into the city.
Runs are for all levels and adjusted in length to suit your interest with the maximum being a full marathon over the weekend.
Done the overland track and looking for the Tasmania adventure then try the South Coast Track. This ambitious walk takes 9 days and takes you along the coast from Melaleuca to Cockle Creek.
There are no huts but campsites along the route. For this package you fly in from Cambridge Airport where you drop you in time for your flight and meet you at the end at Cockle Creek. Our package is based on accommodation before and after and all transfers, excluding the flight to Melaleuca that you arrange with Par Avion.
Hawthorn Lodge is directly on the Tasmania Trail and a popular stop over. We are able to support groups doing all or part of the trail and offer transport.
For the part trail you stay at Hawthorn Lodge and we transfer each day to the start and end of the section.
Frenchmans Cap is a wonderful 46 km walk that takes 3 or 4 days and served by huts and a good trail. Located between Derwent Bridge and Queenstown.
Our package includes accommodation before and after and all transfers.
The rapids are suitable for beginners and provide interest for those with more experience. Our kayak tour departs every day at 10am and takes about 5 hours.
One of the best day walks in the world for your Tasmania Adventure is the Tarn Shelf at Mt Field National Park and takes around 5 -6 hours.
Our walking package includes all transfers from Hobart airport or Hobart and dropping you at the start in the morning at Lake Dobson and meeting you at the end of the day.
The Port Davey track is the alternative way to reach the start of the South Coast Track.
For this one we drop you at the start at Scotts Peak Road and meet you at Cockle Creek 14 days later ( this can be adjusted).
Driving on forest roads we discover the tallest hard wood trees in the world in the Styx Forest. The half day Tall Trees Tour provides you wonderful views of the South West Wilderness, Forests, Rivers and changing landscapes.
All accommodation is based on the use of twin or double room located on the first floor with a shared bathroom. En suite rooms on the ground floor are available for a small surcharge. Please do make that request when booking with Marie. Breakfast is included with all packages and dinner on the Overland Track package. For all other packages dinner is not included and available from our light dinner menu where each dish costs $10. On Friday and Saturday nights we are able to offer a free transfer to the local pub.
